Bayside Home Care – There’s No Place Like Home
Whether going from hospital to home or a rehab facility to home, recovery doesn’t “just happen.” Has a loved one suffered a stroke? That can mean anything from relearning how to walk and talk and eat to strengthening muscles or improving an arm’s range of motion. Rehab care shouldn’t be limited to a stay at a rehab facility.
Let’s face it. Few of us have the dedication to follow a tough rehab regimen on our own. We need the support of a trained assistant. We want to be sure we are doing an exercise properly so as not to injure ourselves in the healing process.
We also need emotional support when things are tough. A good aide will keep you on task and on target. A good aide will keep you motivated.
So although a loved one is well enough to be discharged from the hospital or rehab facility, expect rehab care to continue at home. Life at home doesn’t come with a full staff of nurses, dieticians, cooks, cleaning staff, or therapists. It can take time to make the transition back to independent living at home. Let Bayside Home Care help with that transition.
